Cabo Verde
The 18th partnership committee meeting between Luxembourg and Cabo Verde took place in Luxembourg on 19 June 2018. Ministers Schneider and Tavares reviewed the implementation of the 2016-2020 Indicative Cooperation Programme. The project “Supporting the partnership between the Center for Renewable Energies and Industrial Maintenance and the Center of competence-Technical Engineering of Luxembourg (CERMI / CdC-GTB)” was signed off on the fringes of the partnership committee meeting.
In 2018, the mid-term review of ICP IV was carried out: it was launched in Praia on
13 April and presented from 29 to 30 October. The review identified the alignment of the programmes with Cabo Verde’s priorities, but called for a number of adjustments to be put in place during the steering committee meetings (starting in 2019). In 2018, Luxembourg also increased its support for the platforms for local development programme signed off on the fringes of the Forum on Investments in Cabo Verde held in Paris on 11 and 12 December.
